Happier and More Confident at Home

At Interim HealthCare of West Palm Beach, we know that as they get older, seniors will tell you that they want to stay at home rather than be confined to a nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or hospital. That’s why we offer non-medical senior care & support in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Okeechobee and Indian River counties, which allows seniors to stay in their own homes with the independence and dignity that they deserve. After all, home is where the heart thrives and the place we feel most in control of our destiny.

Living in the comfort of your own home can make a huge difference to your quality of life, but sometimes independence needs a helping hand - which is where our personal care and support services come in! Interim HealthCare of West Palm Beach works to fill the gaps in whatever way each patient needs, creating a whole-person, individualized plan that helps them lead a more empowered and enriched life. Our paraprofessionals and clinicians are trained, skilled, competent and personable. Committed to providing the best possible level of care, they will open the way for your loved one to lead a more joyous and engaged existence at home.

And for your family?

No more worrying about a loved one’s safety,  whether they’re eating right (or at all), or whether they’re taking their medications on time. Our in-home services can provide the boost they need to be independent, safe and healthy.

Personal Care & Support Services in West Palm Beach

So What’s the Difference Between Personal Care and Support Services?

Personal care typically addresses activities of daily living, or ADLs, that are essential for independent living. This includes:

  • Personal hygiene (bathing, grooming and oral care)
  • Dressing
  • Eating
  • Toileting and continence
  • Transferring and mobility (standing, sitting, getting in and out of bed or the car)

Support services take care further, providing assistance with tasks such as:

  • Light housework
  • Laundry
  • Shopping
  • Transportation to the doctor’s (or the beauty salon)
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Writing letters or making appointments
  • Reminding Mom when to take her medications

Help for Family Caregivers

Spouses and adult children are usually the first to step in and help their loved one with certain tasks. You do it from the heart, but it can wear you down.

In-home personal care and supportive services can provide respite from looking after a loved one, so you can recharge your inner strength and be your best self to the person who needs you most right now.
